Just Released Shea Skins Ezine tells readers How to Use Common Foods and Household Products for Inexpensive Natural Skin Care...

Shea butter was all up in the news today, so I took the cue to go ahead and finish revising an article that I'd been working on, entitled:

Natural Skin Care - What's in Your Kitchen Pantry?

This article is featured in the latest Shea-Skins ezine and is all about foods and other good things that most people have right in their homes--products that can be used to moisturize the skin and help us all have a clearer complexion, naturally.

From avocado to olive oil, from strawberries and cucumber to vinegar, egg yolks, honey and water--all these foods and more can be useful in creating younger looking and younger feeling skin.

So go ahead and place that cucumber over your eyes to get rid of the puffiness. But do it now while nobody's looking:)-

You can also sign up to get your free Shea-Skins newsletter on the site here and never miss another issue.

I was also reading a piece of news that came out of a place very near to my old stomping ground in Accra(Ghana, West Africa). Well actually Tamale is a good distance away from Accra, but you get the point, they are both in Ghana.

It seems the government is being urged to promote the shea nut industry more vigorously in order to reduce rural poverty among people in three different regions of the country, particularly jobless women.

Shea Skins Hut, A New Blog Devoted to All Things Shea

Hello and Welcome to the Shea-Skins-Hut!

I’m Loretta Crosby, Editor and Publisher of the Shea Skins Body Shop.

This is my first shea butter blog, and in it I hope to bring you all the information you need to make informed decisions regarding all your skin and body care needs.

This will also be the place where my loyal Shea-Skins newsletter subscribers are directed whenever I post new and original articles to the Shea Skins Body Shop Resource Center which is expanding all the time.

Before I forget, I wanna tell you that you should go ahead and sign up to receive notices to let you know when this blog is updated. Since I'll only be posting good and helpful information to help you stay focused on using good shea butter products for all your skin and hair care needs, you have nothing to lose. Go to the top of the page and enter your email address now. (I'll wait for you...)

You may know that the skin is the largest organ of the body, so it makes sense that it needs to be cared for with at least the same amount of attention that you devote to caring for the rest of your body. And, if you care for your skin and hair properly, it will remain healthy, radiant and youthful looking for many, many years to come.

On the other hand, if you have been neglecting your skin due to a lack of knowledge or simply not feeling you have enough time, I hope to help you cure both of those concerns by providing the information you need for proper skin care. And, no, I realize that I can't give you more time, but what I can do is provide you with simple and easily implementable tips, as well as direct you to fine products that will assist you in taking care of your skin -- almost effortlessly.

In this Shea Skins Hut, you will be able to take a look at some original articles on all the benefits of caring for your body, skin and natural hair styles using shea butter, a product which I truly believe is Africa’s gift for natural skin care.

Friend, I have to confess that I did not discover shea butter while living and serving in Ghana, West Africa, while working as a volunteer for a religious organization. No, I found shea butter after I returned to the States and decided to let my natural (African-American) hair grow out.

When I begin learning about shea, I discovered that it was not only the answer to my problem of caring for my hair, but was also a solution to naturally caring for my skin. And, I might add, it was the beginning of a wonderful intimate affair with this all natural skin care product--an affair that I know will last as long as I will last :)-

I hope you too will take the time to learn all about the uses and benefits of using shea butter. Then, you too will begin to experience its anti-aging properties, its healing and anti-inflammatory properites, its prevention, moisturizing and protection qualities, just to name a few.

Yes, my friend, stick with me and you too will have relief from dry, dull and itching skin; you'll experience the calmness and relief to your aching muscles and much more.

But perhaps my favorite result of using shea butter products is that it allows me to have softer, smoother and younger looking skin (all vanity aside).

So get on board with shea ... you'll be glad you did.

Again, my warmest welcome to you as you discover yourself in this Shea Skins Hut.

Your Shea-Skins Hut Editor,

Lo

P.S. Oh…by the way, did I mention that I am also the Editor of Healthy Servings, a blog of RecallingHealth.com which specializes in the holistic care of the mind, body and spirit? As long as you are trying to care properly for your skin, might as well include the rest of the package. You can check out new mind, body and spirit articles posted at one of my newest resouces, an online newsletter at http://healthy-servings.recallinghealth.net. Yeah its a bit "unpolished" but the articles on natural nutrition are definitely worth a read.

P.S. II Your comments, suggestions and input are always welcome in this Hut. I’d love to hear from you.
