Whipped Shea Butter Anyone?

Guess what? Another winter is here. I do not know about you but I used to always hate to feel my skin during the winter months. It was rough and hard to the touch, and the bottom half of my face was always ashy and white. At the time, I did not know why.

So I would do what most people do. I would pile on the over the counter facial lotion in an attempt to cover it, and then just hope it would last me until the end of the day. Never mind that I could not pronounce some of the names of the ingredients in the store bought lotions. As long as I could get rid of the ash, I was good to go.

These days I no longer have the problem, and I believe it is because of my shea butter regimen. I now use pure, unrefined shea butter everyday on some or all of my body. In the winter, I am especially conscious about applying shea butter on my face and the heels of my feet and other areas that are prong to dryness, and it works to keep my skin soft, moisturized and beautiful to look at and to touch. With no more ashy white face, and no more rough, scaly heels, life is good again.

So, the question I have for you is … have you found a good source of unrefined shea butter yet? If not, may I recommend this online company located at:

After I moved back to the southeast in July from a short stay out west in southern California, I had to find a temporary supplier of shea butter – yeah I have had to close down sheabuttermall.com for a minute -- but I have been very impressed with the shea butter products this company offers, and the price is affordable too.

So do not be afraid to order a pound or even five pounds of shea at a time. If you take a full bath at least once a week and do the full body rub down with shea, you will find that going through a pound of shea butter in three months or less is easy to do. And if you do not take a full bath once a week, perhaps this article will convince you to start…

Oh, you might also be interested to know that this company just released a video showing all of us shea butter aficionados how to make whipped shea butter. What a cool, step-by-step video on how to make creamy whipped shea. I can hardly wait to give it a try… and just in time for winter. Just visit the site, find the whipped shea link on the left and go from there.
